Local Level Events
A one-time launch celebration in stores for all players to learn, play, and connect—casual and welcoming for newcomers.
Origins Release Event:
Prerelease Events: Before each new set (after Origins), stores will host prereleases where players can build decks from new cards ahead of official release.
Nexus Nights: Weekly, store-run events aimed at casual play using constructed decks—perfect for ongoing local engagement.
Store-Level Competitive Play
Summoner Skirmish: Held twice per set (start and end), this is the highest level of in-store play. Winners earn exclusive promos and a Round 1 bye at their next Regional Qualifier.
Premier Competitive Circuit
Regional Qualifiers: Large-scale open tournaments with 100s, up to 1000s of players. Offering cash prizes, exclusive promos, and invites to Regional Championships. Top performances for specific champions are also rewarded "best of" prizes.
Regional Championships: Invite-only, high-stakes tournaments for top players. Includes Last Chance Qualifiers onsite, and winners earn more promos, bigger prizes—and starting in 2027, a path to the Riftbound World Championship.
As was mentioned in previous articles, set rotations aren't planned to begin until at least 2028.
Tournament Rules are in the works to support all organised play levels, including conduct, infractures and everything else required.
