# Ahri Defend — “One Lane to Rule Them all” ## Game plan & philosophy This deck is built to **claim a single battlefield and never let go**. Your Legend ability (enemy attackers **–1 Might**) blanks small creatures and blunts wide boards, letting your defenders trade up and hold ground. You then convert that foothold into a lead with efficient draws and a clean finisher. **Why it works:** stacking static debuffs with shields means your units survive, their units don’t, and combat math quietly snowballs in your favor. --- ## Matchups & sideboarding ### Kai’Sa — Unfavorable They pack **removal that ignores your Legend**. Every kill spell hits **Ahri** unless you protect her, and **accelerate** units let them **ambush a battlefield** (watch for **Darius** and **Watcher** blowouts). You can still navigate it: with **Legend –1**, **Ahri, Inquisitive –2**, and **Smoke Screen**, you can contain **Watcher** cleanly. **Sideboarding vs Kai’Sa** ``` +1 Zhonia's Hourglass +1 Dr. Mundo -2 Charm ``` ### Yi Ramp — Even Both decks defend; **play/draw matters**. Yi’s units are bigger, but you **stack bodies** better to own one battlefield. - **Plan:** Claim early, lean on **Ahri, Alluring** to flip race math. Keep tricks to protect Ahri/Sona from spot answers. **Sideboarding vs Yi Ramp** ``` +3 Ahri, Alluring -2 Zhonya’s Hourglass ``` --- ### Sett — Good Sett leans on **stat sticks and volume**; your Legend **negates his small-buff edges**. You also don’t rely on kill spells, so his Legend is less punishing. - **Watch for:** **Sett, Brawler**—he can scale. Keep combat tricks ready to **protect Ahri/Sona** from fight effects. **Sideboarding vs Sett** ``` +2 Defy? +1 Consult the Past +1 Dr. Mundo +3 Ahri, Alluring -2 Zhonia's Hourglass -2 Charm -3 Fox-Fire ``` ### Aurora — Even If they land **Aurora** and flip **Deathbloom Predator** or **Carnivorous Snapvine**, be ready with **combat tricks** to blunt the swing. Aurora is **slow**—you win by getting ahead and forcing them to answer on your timing. **Sideboarding vs Aurora** ``` +1 Mundo +2 Defy? +3 Ahri, Alluring -1 Watcher -2 Zhonya’s Hourglass -3 Fox-Fire ``` ### Other options for sideboard: ``` Defy Block Singularity Ekko Blitzcrank ``` ### Cards to test: ``` Taric, Protector Lecturing Yordle Caitlyn, Patrolling Gemcraft Seer ```
