Always take Zaun Warrens as your first battlefield! Zaun + Traveling Merchant is what makes Scrapheap work The gameplan of this deck is to get as many points as possible early in order to set up for a Ride the Wind combo to win the game from 6 points. The easiest way to do that is with Vi, where you play Vi from hand, recycle a large number of cards from your trash, then Ride the Wind to the first battlefield, which readies her and scores a point. Then, move her to the other battlefield by exhausting her, since she has ganking, and score your second point. When taking your mulligan, look for 2 energy units (ideally Pouty Poro or Traveling Merchant), Sneaky Deckhands, and cheap spells like Gust and Stacked Deck. Sometimes you will need to play Vi on turn 1, which is not ideal, but you can always find the second copy later. Do not be afraid to use Ride the Wind early on to score an extra point or two. You always have Annie to buy it back! Using Ride the Wind on your opponent's turn to move to an empty battlefield can score you two points if they can't answer it - one for conquering on their turn, then another for holding at the beginning of your turn. Sideboard tips: !! After game 1, always always side out the Scrapheaps. Without Zaun Warrens they become much worse !! For games 2 and 3: - When you go first, bring The Arena's Greatest as your battlefield. You should be the faster deck when you get the first move, so a shorter game favors you. - When you go second, bring The Dreaming Tree. The spells like Cleave, Flash, Ride the Wind, or sometimes even Fight or Flight or Gust can give you extra draws, which help you find your way out of tricky situations when you start a turn behind. - Against Dazzling Aurora (Volibear, Miss Fortune, sometimes Master Yi), bring in 3x Fading Memories and 1x Rebuke. Take Gust out alongside the Scrapheaps. - Against everything except Dazzling Aurora decks, Gust is very good. I recommend bringing in 2 copies. - Against Kai'sa, bring in the 3rd copy of Noxus Hopeful. 4 might is tough for her to deal with. - Against Master Yi, Sett, Lee Sin, and Leona bring in Rebuke. They can play very large units, this can help you score that last 2 points. - Against Annie, Jinx, Yasuo, Ahri, and Teemo, also bring Rebuke. This time though, be sure to use it when they try something tricky with Ride the Wind or Charm, or when they try to Time Warp or Thousand-Tailed Watcher. - Against Darius and Viktor (and Garen and Lux, I suppose) bring in Tibbers. This can help deal with the swarm of units yellow decks can present. Upgrades (in order, based on value added to deck per dollar): (Value based on TCGplayer market price on 11-7-2025) $11 per card - Replace 2x Blazing Scorcher and 1x Scrapheap with 3x Darius Trifarian $70 per card - Replace 2x Vayne with 2x Kai’sa Survivor, but keep 2 Vaynes around in the sideboard. They’re very good when going second. Replace 3rd Fading memories and Tibbers with the Vaynes in the sideboard. $15 - Replace 1x Scrapheap with 1x Falling Star $70 - If you get a 3rd Kai’sa, replace 1x Scrapheap. $20 (this is fake, once proving ground is widely available this should be way cheaper) - Replace 1x Fight or Flight with 1x Flash $15 - Replace 1x Sideboard Noxus Hopeful with 1x Falling Star Non-Budget: https://piltoverarchive.com/decks/view/693d9419-d815-459a-8108-ce67fd8c4430
