The core game plan is to establish a board of disposable units, primarily Recruit tokens generated by your Legend and other cards. You then convert these units into superior resources—Power via Malzahar, Fanatic and cards via Wraith of Echoes. This resource advantage allows you to deploy high-cost threats like Harnessed Dragon far ahead of schedule or control the board with efficient removal like Cull the Weak, which synergizes with your own death-triggering effects. The deck is resilient, able to rebuild boards quickly thanks to Viktor, Leader and Machine Evangel, and can win by either overwhelming the opponent with a wide board, pressuring them with large threats, or out-valuing them in a long game. Early Game (Turns 1-3) Your primary goal is to set up your value engines. Use your Legend ability to create a Recruit token on turn 1 or 2. Your ideal plays are deploying a Watchful Sentry or Faithful Manufactor to establish an early board presence. If you have Wraith of Echoes or Malzahar, Fanatic in your opening hand, your entire focus should be on playing them as quickly as possible. Use your Seal of Unity and Seal of Insight to ensure you have the necessary Power. Don't be afraid to trade your early units if it means protecting a key engine piece. A Watchful Sentry dying to an opponent's attack is a net positive, as it draws you a card. Mid Game (Turns 4-6) This is where your engine should be coming online. You should be actively looking for opportunities to sacrifice units to gain value. A key play is using Cull the Weak to eliminate an opponent's developing threat while simultaneously triggering Wraith of Echoes for a card and Viktor, Leader for another token. Use Cruel Patron to turn a single Recruit into a major threat. With Malzahar, Fanatic on the board, you can start making explosive plays, sacrificing tokens to generate large amounts of Power to cast your expensive spells or units. Control the board, build your resource advantage, and prepare to deploy your finishers. Late Game (Turns 7+) In the late game, your superior resource generation should have put you in a dominant position. Use the Power generated by Malzahar to play Harnessed Dragon, removing the opponent's last significant blocker and attacking for the win. If the board is cluttered or you've fallen behind, Unchecked Power can serve as a reset button, clearing the way for the fresh wave of tokens you can easily generate. If the game becomes a battle of attrition, Garbage Grabber and Machine Evangel's deathrattle provide the recursion and board presence needed to outlast your opponent. The win is achieved by leveraging an insurmountable resource advantage into an unstoppable board state.
