This decks aims to play midrange tempo, holding points and then sweeping with gankers like Udyr and Bilgewater Bully. While Sett currently holds the title of best ‘buff’ build legend — Lee Sin offers more versatile utility with access to mind cards that can deal with some of the stronger meta threats in the format. To make the most out of this deck understanding the meta is key in order to utilise the sideboard and deck effectively. In our sideboard we’re running: - 2x Flurry of Blades: Helps deal with Viktor or go wide token strategies - 1x Unyielding Spirit: Cheap protection piece against Kai Sa - 1x Spirit Refuge: ‘Buff’ synergies + ‘deflect’ to deal with Kai Sa removal. - 2x Rune Prison: Helps contest / protect against high might units like Deathbloom Predator in ramp / lategame comps (Master Yi, Sett, MF) - 2x Adaptatron: ‘Buff’ synergies + gear removal to deal with Aurora Veil or Baited Hook comps (Master Yi / MF / Darius) Our primary battlefield we run in this deck is ‘Navori Fighting Pit’ — our aim is to hold this battlefield by turn 2 / 3 to then drop either Lee Sin or Udyr to buff them at least twice each turn with Lee Sin’s legend ability also available. - On a turn with Udyr, if held we can expend to give him ganking -> tap legend ability to buff him -> threaten a conquer on the opposing battlefield with his 7 might -> expend the second buff to ready him -> return him to Navori Fighting Pit. - Against Kai Sa or spell slinger comps that run Void Gate Udyr can also threaten a lot of cheap units that are holding with his first ability to deal 3 damage to a unit. - Otherwise if we don’t have access to Udyr, Lee Sin can fortify our hold with an impressive 9 might on first rotation (5 + Navori buff + legend buff + active ability buff + shield) and can access three more each turn making it extremely difficult to contest or remove him. Our other battlefields look to either speed up the game against late game control decks or to enable consistent card advantage against other tempo midrange decks.
